Andrew M. Stitzlein
LOUDONVILLE: Andrew M. Stitzlein, 32, of rural Loudonville, Ohio died Wednesday afternoon July 4, 2012 surrounded by his family in Wooster Community Hospital following a ten month illness.
Andy was born December 4, 1979 in Wooster, Ohio living in the Loudonville area all of his life.
He was a 1999 graduate of Loudonville High School and 2002 graduate of ATI/OSU.
He was a member of Loudonville FFA, where he received his State Farmer and American Farmer degrees.
Andy was a National finalist for wheat production and won the National Award for soy bean production.
He was a member of the Loudonville Fair Tractor Pull Committee.
Andy was the past President of the Loudonville FFA Alumni Association and was the 1999 Kettering Scholarship recipient for agricultural study.
He was a life member of Zion Lutheran Church and he also attended New Hope Community Church, both of Loudonville.
He was an avid collector of miniature farm tractors toys. Andy received a kidney transplant from his mother in 1990 and his sister in 2006 and was involved with Team Ohio Transplant Athletics.
Andy is survived by his parents: Earl and Kathi (Meyer) Stitzlein of rural Loudonville, OH; his sister: Anne (Thor) Leidigh of rural Loudonville; his maternal grandfather: Howard Meyer of Mason, ohio; his aunts and uncles: Karen and Ron Abbott of Marblehead, Ohio; Charles and Susan Meyer of West Chester, Jane and Chris Bader of Mason, and Libby and John Smith of Thomasboro, IL and Linda Meyer of Independence, KY.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Doyle and Carol Stitzlein, maternal grandmother: Rita Meyer, and an uncle: Jeff Meyer.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 10 at 11:00am in Zion Lutheran Church, Loudonville, with Rev. Scott Henderson and Pastor Jeff Cooper officiating.
Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery, Lake Township.
