BOOGHIER Jr., Paul D. 88, of Springfield, Ohio died June 6, 2012 in Heartland of Springfield.
He was born in Springfield, Ohio on October 19, 1923, the son of the late Paul D. and Lottie Belle (Meenach) Booghier Sr.
Paul served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII.
He retired from the U.S. Postal service following a 33 year career as a letter carrier.
He previously worked as police officer for the City of Springfield for 17 years and as a city bus driver for five years.
Paul is survived by a son, Jeffrey (Linda) Booghier of Springfield, OH; a daughter, Lisa Murthy of Kettering, OH; step daughter, Terri (Bart) Jones of Lewisburg; step-son, Col. Kevin (Sandra) Stevens of Ft. Polk, Louisiana; a sister, Helen Turner of Springfield, Ohio; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Booghier; a granddaughter, Heather Booghier; and a step-daughter, Vicki Niday.
A service in celebration of his life was held Wednesday at the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
