Child Drowned.

Little Dorothy Clark Falls in Tub of Water.

Late Wednesday afternoon the two year old daughter of Mrs. Charles A. Clark, of Mountainside, was drowned in a half filled tub of water. The tub was at the foot of the steps leading down from the back porch and Dorothy was playing about the porch by herself. Mrs. Clark came out of the house later to look for the child and found the body hanging by the clothes on the rim of the tub which was built from a barrel. Life had become extinct and the child's position was such that there was no possibility of her screaming or freeing herself from her plight. Nothing could be accomplished in the matter of resuscitation and County Physician Westcott, who was called, gave permission for the burial.
