Michael R. Mootispaw, 63, of Greenfield, OHio died at the Hearth and Care Nursing Home in Greenfield on Sunday, May 20, 2012.

He was born Aug. 21, 1948 to the late James and Anna Mart Mootispaw in Greenfield.

He was previously employed as the maintenance person at the U.S. Shoe Corporation in Greenfield.

Mr. Mootispaw was preceded in death by his son, Michael Williams; two brothers, James "Buster" and Manford Mootispaw; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Mootispaw.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle "Micki" (Denver) Smith of Greenfield; two brothers, Melvin and Steven (Donna) Mootispaw, both of Greenfield; two sisters, Debra (William) Ewry and Irma (John) Kelley, both of Greenfield; a sister-in-law, Dixie Mootispaw of Washington Court House, Ohio; five grandchildren, Kylie Mootispaw, Madison and Bailey Davis, and Tristan and Preston Smith, all of Greenfield; a great-granddaughter, Grayson Barton of Greenfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Good Shepherd Church in Greenfield with pastor Mike Anderson officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Merchants National Bank in Greenfield.
