SHARP Juanita Faye passed away on Tuesday, May 1, following a short illness.
Juanita Priwer was born on August 6, 1923, in Springfield, Ohio (Clark County) the daughter of Fred and Marie (Distelhorst) Priwer.
She married Robert Sharp on October 20, 1943, while he was in the army. Bob passed away in 1972.

She prided herself on having worked in many otherwise male occupations that were crucial in winning the war.

She retired from Fulmer's Supermarkets in 1992 following nearly 33 years with the company.
She spent most of her career in public relations where she wrote a weekly homemaker newspaper column, decorated stores for the various holidays and frequently dressed as a Halloween witch, Uncle Sam or - her favorite - Mrs. Claus. She often said that one of her life's highlights was a trip to Germany where she met relatives who she had worked so hard to defeat during the war.

She loved restoring antiques and talking about how things were done years ago. With her, just about anything old was good.

Juanita is survived by her children: Dan, Bismarck, North Dakota; Becki (Dennis) Verrett, Cincinnati, Ohio; Connie (Homer) Ryman, North Hampton; Bonnie Ervin and her fiancée Steve Parks, New Carlisle, Ohio; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Thelma Priwer, Springfield, Connie Brenneman, New Carlisle, and Wanda Tucker, Springfield, OH; her long-time companion, Ron Clark; and countless cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Wayne Priwer and Paul Priwer, sister Phyllis Priwer, and two infant sisters.
Wayne and Paul both served in Europe during World War II. Wayne was killed in July 1944 in France at the Battle of St. Lo.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Risen Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor Eric Kennaugh officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior beginning at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity in Juanita's name.

Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
