Jack Fowler
KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mr. Jack B. Fowler, 69, of 406 Stoney Point Road, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2003, at home.
Born Nov. 4, 1933, in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Flay Fowler and Julia McSwain Fowler. He retired from Dover Mill and was a member of Family Worship Center Church of God in Kings Mountain.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Derick Fowler; a daughter, Debbie Fowler; and a brother, Charles Fowler.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Elizabeth Putnam Fowler of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Roger and Linda Fowler of Fallston and Dale Fowler; a stepdaughter, Peggy B. Whetstine of Kings Mountain; a stepson and his wife, Donald William and Betty Faye Biggerstaff of Shelby; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Family Worship Center Church of God, Kings Mountain, with Bishop Roger R. Woodard and the Rev. Ray Allmond officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service.
Interment will be in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
