Dannie E. Bircher, 58, of Cairo departed this life on Thursday, June 24, 2004, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Bircher was born Feb. 24, 1946, in Cairo, a son of C. Earl and Lydia Mae Mahaney Bircher of Cairo.

Mr. Bircher was self-employed; he operated Bircher Oil and Gas. He was an avid power parachute flier and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a Protestant by faith.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Raiguel Funeral Home, Cairo, with the Rev. Danny McVey officiating. Interment will be at the Bircher Family Cemetery, Silver Run, Cairo. Friends may call from 3-9 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home.
