Elaine Rose Leslie, Kimberling City, TX,daughter of Ames and Anne Rose Belle (Heithold) Klusmeier was born May 27, 1915, in LaGrange TX and departed this life Dec. 21, 2004, in Tablerock Healthcare Center at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 24 days.
Elaine was united in marriage to Burgess C. Leslie on May 15, 1937, and to this union three sons were born. She was a retired elementary school teacher, taught piano and voice lessons and was the choir director for 25 years for St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Marshfield. She moved to Kimberling City in 1989 with her son, Charles, and his wife, Donna. She had lived in the last several years with her son, Kent, and his wife, Gloria, until Elaine went to reside in Tablerock Healthcare Center in August. She loved the Chiefs football games and listened on radio to her Lady Bears in later years.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Burgess; and two brothers, Marion Klusmeier and Ralph Klusmeier.
Survivors include three sons, Charles and his wife, Donna, of Kimberling City, Kent and his wife, Gloria, of Kimberling City and Richard and his wife, Rebecca of Tornball, Texas; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Kimberling City with Pastor James Troyke officiating. Burial was in Marshfield Cemetery, Marshfield, under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home-South, Kimberling City.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
