Helen Marie Richards, 93, of Sedalia, MOdied Thursday, June 22, 2006, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born Jan. 30, 1913, in Sedalia,MO a daughter of William and Elizabeth Sitton Shaw. On Feb. 14, 1931, in Sedalia, she was married to Herbert H. Richards, who died March 1, 1987.

Mrs. Richards was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a former member of Sorosis. She formerly volunteered for the Bothwell Regional Health Center ladies auxiliary. She enjoyed collecting Santa Clauses.

Surviving are a son, Dr. John W. Richards, and his wife, Lucy, of Liberty; two grandchildren, Bryan Richards and Michelle Sunderland, and her husband, Tyler, all of Kansas City; and three great grandchildren, Shelby, Taylor and Brytten Sunderland.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Barbara Phifer officiating.

Pallbearers will be Richard Smith, Kenneth Smith, Bud Mosier, Mike Robinson, Leo Richards, Bryan Richards, Tyler Sunderland and Warren Muldrow.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Wesley United Methodist Church.
