Frank was born in February 19th,1882 in Chiavari / Genova Italy. He died March 16th, 1948, in Moonachie, NJ.
Louise was born October 23rd,1884 in Cleveland, Ohio. She died February 28th,1961 also in Moonachie, NJ.

Hi I am afraid I really havent..there is a Bible that he is listed in as passing away in April 17 1937 but I know this is incorrect as he and his family are in the 1940 census..it may be possible that the yr was transcribed incorrectly...In 1930 and 1940 census he and family lived on Hollman Ave Pennsauken Camden New Jersey..Again someone else has a yr of 1944 in their tree..I would be grateful if you could look for him and I apologize I dont have a more pinpointed date...I have cked city directories too to no avail...does NJ have a Death Indexs by chance? I just thought of that..because Pa does? I dont know if you live in NJ and might know more as to where else I may try to look..

I am trying to find any information on my great-grandmother, Harriet Yates. I was told she once owned a produce store on 2nd street in either East Newark or Harrison New Jersey. Her daughter, Martha Yates Wilson, was my grandmother who lived in the area.
If anyone knows anything about this person or the store she owned, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.
Or if you know where I can go to research this fact, that would help too.

I forgot to mention- I think his birthdate might be wrong on the SSDI. I found documents for Frank Hunter in Philadelphia with March 10, 1893 as a DOB. WWI and WWII draft notices, unless this is somehow a different Frank.Best of luck in your search.

Don't know if you ever found the info you were looking for. I just tried to find more info for you and struck out. I couldn't find any records of Frank's obit. More info might help- associated relatives- so maybe there is an old phone listing. His name might be listed as Francis or with a middle initial in other records.There are many Frank Hunters so it would help to narrow it down.

I am looking up "old" death notices/obituaries in newspapers for Stanley Slivinsky born 5-4-1880 and died 4-12-1974. Marie Slivinsky 3-5-1890 and died 11-24-1971. Frank Molinari 2-19-1882 and died 3-16-1948. Louise Molinari 10-23-1884 and died 2-28-1961.Charles Molinari 6-13-1909 and died 5-12-1979. All died in Moonachie NJ, except for Charles...died in Hackensack, NJ.
Where can I find information for the "old" newspapers etc?

Finding a death record in NJ

I am hoping someone has a suggestion on a search.

I am trying to locate a death record or cemetery burial location for a Frank Hunter. I found his SSN info, but the state of NJ dept of vital records won't do a search unless I know the city or town where he died. I have no idea what town, although likely in South Jersey, since his family was from Philadelphia. No luck in the Philly papers. Rather than try and search every newspaper in April 1965 in NJ, does anyone have a better idea? Details below. Thanks and regards, Joe

Hi. I'm looking for the Obits of Randolph Wilson, who died 1938 in New Jersey, and Martha Ann (Yates) Wilson, who died 1932. I don't know the months. They arrived in the US in the early 1900s from England. Both lived in Kearny, NJ and are buried in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton, NJ. They were my paternal grandparents.

MURDER/SUICIDE IN BELLEVILLE -- 1910-1918

I hope someone can help. I'm trying to confirm a family "legend" about my husband's grandparents, Louis (Luigi) FUSARO and Rosina LATERZA, who lived on King Street in Belleville. Louis, in a jealous rage, supposedly murdered Rosina and then shot himself, leaving nine children to fend for themselves. The family was intact in the 1910 U.S. Census. But by the time of the 1918 WWI draft registration, the parents were gone. I would have thought that, if true, this tragedy would have been all over the newspapers. Can someone suggest where I might start looking? What newspaper archives? I'm limited to on-line searching, since I don't live in New Jersey. Thanks for any and all help.

I have several relatives that had obituaries in the Star Ledger under the names Mathes, Herfurth and Werthwein. I'll post other later, but the one I'm hoping someone could look up for me would be

Death believed to be 5 Dec 1940

Pre-deceased by a wife (possibly Elizabeth or Lizzie) and son (possibly John). Surviving daughters would be Mamie Herfurth (nee Mathes) and Emma Hopp (nee Mathes).

If anyone could find and send me the obituary for this man - my 3rd Great Grandfather, I would appreciate it SO much.

I have access to the NJ online system via the Somerset library (my great uncle's membership) but don't believe the Star Ledger is electronically accessible?

That explains where rope factory came from. So, jute is a type of rope. I wonder if I can find where this mill was? Yes I find different dates, different spellings of surnames other's in my family. But, this Daniel is my GG-grandfather. Thank you very much.

1910 Daniel is listed as living with John and Mary Worthington
1900 Daniel is listed with a daughter Mary (so I think it's the same Daniel but there is a 2 year difference in age) and this Daniel is a laborer in a jute (a name for a type of rope)mill

There was a Mass for Mrs. Victoria Halanick, 89, of West Paterson at St. Stephen's Church, Paterson, on Saturday.

The funeral home was Della Torre Funeral Home, 515 21st Ave., Paterson.

She died on Tuesday at home, she was a seamstress for 30 years at, and retired from, the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.

She was born in Paterson & moved to West Paterson 26 years earlier.

She left a son, Walter A.; a sister, Mrs. Sophie Tozzko; a grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
