I am not aware of that person but my grandmother was Eliza Beggs of Castle View very near the presbyterian church.

I would like to know if you have any information on the Beggs family

Hello..
Am researching my Beggs family and wondered if you have come across these names in your travels. My g-g-g-grandparents were William Beggs and Jane Graham. They lived around Ballymena/Ballygalley in County Antrim, born 1800 and 1803. They had Charles 1823, Ann Jane 1825, James 1827, John 1835, Thomas 1836, William 1841, Elizabeth 1844, and Nathaniel 1846. William (1841) went to live in Belfast and Nathaniel went to Scotland while the other siblings all came to Australia at various times. I'm not sure if this is anywhere near the area you are looking at, but thought it was worth a shot.
Thank, Jennie

Hi jennifer. Unfortunately non of the names you mention are familiar to me. My Beggs came from the south of Ireland and Co Antrim, Ballymena etc is in the north of Ireland. Sorry we cannot make a connection.

My grandfather was John McAdam Beggs. His father was John Beggs. I believe John's father was William Beggs and his mother Jane. My grandfather John was from Ballyhalbert/Ballyfrench in County Down, Ireland which is just south of County Antrim. Same family possibly?

It is highly unlikely that there is a family connection. The Beggs family on my mothers side all came from Co Monaghan and in early 1900's moved to Belfast in N. Ireland. My ggf John Waugh Beggs is buried in Moville Cemetery in Newtownards, Co Down. If you think I can help further contact me again nay Coulter17@rogers.com.

All the Beggs in my family tree came from Co Monaghan, S Ireland. My great grandfather John Waugh BEGGS was born in 1864. I do not know if he had siblings. Your James BEGGS was born around the same time. You have not given me enough information about him to be able to know if he might be a relative. I am not aware of a connection in Scotland and the name GALWAY is not known to me. Please send me more information especially if you are aware of an Irish connection.
