If by the rare surname you refer to you mean the Mickey surname...well that name derives from Scotland and is connected with the MacDonald clan, and in particular with the MacDonalds of Keppoch who were particularly prominent in the 1744/1745 Jabobite rebellion of Bonnie Prince Charlie aka Charles Edward Stuart in Scotland against the English crown.
