This is my ancestor.
I know he signed the "Wildfire Declaration of Independence" at Goliad(because he lived near Port Lavaca).I have yet to find any proof of land ownership.
I know he participated in The Seige of Bexar(Dec.5-9th,1835).
I know he was sent to recruit volunteers from the states east of us.BUT!!! I don't have any written confirmation of this.
I know something about where and how he spent the remainder of his life(in Howth Station,Austin Co.).
I would love to have any and all information you come across in your searches. If you would rather, you can contact me directly.

I believe Howth Station is/was in Washington Co, not Austin.
Surely there could not be to Major William Edward Howth --
I have info from someone also looking. His widow, Mary, applied for a widow's pension - at the time, blind and living in Waller Co. Would be glad to hear from you to compare further.

Sorry, did not put Bobbie and Roberta in the same box - just
sent you a message. Hope it has at least something you did not know -- and I'll check with THC tomorrow on the file.
