I have done limited searches of my family tree. I was born and raised in Cullman, Alabama. In my limited research of my family's history, I found that all my ancestors on both my mom and dad's side moved from Georgia (from what I can find the west Georgia counties of Carroll and Heard) to Cullman and Blount counties in the early 20th century. From what I can gather almost all of these ancestors were farmers. Does anyone know why so many farm families moved from West Georgia to North Central Alabama during this time.
Thanks
