Taylor
William Taylor came on 1850 Oregon Trail (Capt. Joel Palmer)Census state from Missouri or Kentucky. He married Martha Jane Cox 21 Aug 1856 in Eugene, Oregon. Witnesses of marriage record show Christopher Taylor and John Cox in the home of her father Solomon Cox Jr in Lane County. John Cox would be an Uncle.
William and Martha Jane had at least 10 children - James Edward, William H., Jesse C., Emma, Emily D., Garrett C., Nellie Jane, Alva A., Anna May and Ettie. Anyone with old letters or diary with info on William? We have info going forward on William from 1850.

Hello, I believe this is my great, great, great, great grandfather, not completly sure. I recently inherited his civil war gun. He is from tennesse, went to iowa, but came to oregan in the civil as not to fight against relatives. He then moved back to oregan when the civil war was over.
