Hi,
I am trying to confirm a family story that 7 Noland families went from northcentral Kansas (Osborne Co) to Idaho in 1895 by covered wagon. I have checked for hours on the internet to determine if the rail lines would have made it possible for them to have gone most of the way by rail but can only confirm that the Chicao, Rock Island, Pacific and Union Pacific passed through Osborn in 1895 and don't know if it would have been feasible for them to have gone most of the way by rail or it they would have gone by wagon train as family lore says. There is not a special message board for this so I thought I would see if anyone on your message board could help me.
Any help - merely pointing me in the right direction - would be greatly appreciated!
Sharon
