I am trying to document my line for a DAR application. I'm trying to find the documentation to prove that Raphael French served in the St. Mary's Militia during the Revoluntionary War. I'm also looking for proof of a father-son-relationship between him and Elisha Marion French, b 1786 in St. Mary's County. Raphael was married to Mary Ann Mead, but I haven't been able to find anything on her. I'm out in the boonies in Arizona and unless I can find something on the internet, I usually can't get to the libraries and record centers. Can anyone help me?
