My grandmother was not married to my grandfather at the time of my mom's birth. In fact, my gm was married to another man, but he had left her. And then my mom was adopted by another couple. I have her OBC showing her parents as my gm and the man to whom she was legally married at the time of my mom's birth. DNA has since ruled out that man as her father and very strongly indicates (just short of absolute proof) another man.
So... how do I show this on my tree? Do I choose a "custom event" and put in an approximate meeting date for my genetic grandparents? None of these people are alive so I have no one to ask any questions of.
The way my tree is presently shown, if you look at my gm's profile my mom is listed under the marriage to her first husband. If you look at my mom's profile her parents are shown as my gm & her boyfriend. So the my mom's father is different depending on how one looks at the tree.
Thanks for any help!
