Although I've dabbled in family history a few years ago, its only recently I've really started to look at my family tree and I've now worked my way back to before 17th Century downa few blood lines.
As I get back to 1600's and before, I've noticed that many family trees contain death/birth dates that cannot correspond. I've therefore been reluctant to add them to my tree. For example I have several fathers who have died (according to other trees) before their children have been born.
Is this normal? I'm wondering if it is just a mis-transcribing of the original documentation? Should I add this info to my family tree or not?
Any advice gratefully received as this is all rather new and quite exciting!!
