(I'm not really sure if this goes in this section.)
I have a quick question. Is it better to put names of ancestors as they were at birth or at death? So in other words, should I use Katharina Elisabetha Burkart (birth name) or Catherine Elizabeth Burkhart (name after immigration and at death) when referring to an ancestor or putting names in a pedigree? Is there a standard practice for this or is it just personal preference? And if so, which do you prefer?
