Although a bit convoluted, I don't think what I am going to ask is really rare.

My grandmother had 3 children when my grandfather deserted the household. She couldn't get by with the 3. Her parents agreed to take the eldest daughter into his home. They LEGALLY adopted her - thus making their granddaughter their daughter.

How do I show this. I will annotate with a note to avoid confusion, but would like to show (all) these relationships in their proper form.
