Looking for the list of the Hoge Lords or Barons of Bemersyde House in Bemersyde,or Perth, Scotland.
Sir Andrew, Sir John, Sir John, Sir George etc..

I too am reserchin the Hoges....from my notes Sir Andrew Hoge was born in or near Homerside, Sir John, George, & James Hoge - Musselburgh, Lothian, Scotland....My husband is a descendant of Sir Andrew Hoge and I would love to exchange information with you.

thank you for your reply. I haven't found many people researching this line. Do you know who Sir Andrew's parents are? I would also imagine that you have that William Hoge (m. Barbara Hume) is also descended from this line. I have a James Hoge (b. 1680) that I first presumed to be a son of William, but this couldn't be unless he had this son IN Scotland, which would be BEFORE his marriage to Barbara. I can't find James' father otherwise. My dilemma is that if this James is NOT a son of William's then I am tracing the wrong line.

I am a decendant of William and John (brothers) Hoge. I am from Washington PA originally. William and John Laid out the land in Washington Pa and Williams grave resides here. There are many many many hoges that live in this area. There is written history in a book called the Crumrine a historical record of Washington County.
