Biological parents??

Robert George Barclay was born approx 1923. It was rumored he was actually born in 1924 or 25 but he lied about his age so he could enlist in the war. Robert Barclay had three bothers (Jack, Joseph, Charlie (Chuck) and sister Pauline. All four siblings shared the last name - Kelly. Their parents were Mary Elizabeth (Barclay) Kelly and Joseph Kelly. Mary was 16 & Joseph 25 when they married in 1921. According to family, Robert Barclay was born out of wedlock and his mother was Mary and Mary gave him to a family from Southampton, Ont to raise. Robert Barclay had a hereditary condition called Clouston syndrome that cause none to brittle hair and thick nails. His mother Mary & siblings DID NOT have this however, his aunt Ethel did. Ethel had 'no children.' Knowing Robert Barclay's parent HAD to have Clouston to pass it onto him, who is his biological parent? I would suggest Ethel. Robert Barclay went on to have 8 children, of which 6 children have/had Clouston syndrome and so do some of their children.

Hi Bobbie-Jo,

I think I may know some relatives of yours with Clouston Syndrome living in Ontario. Do you have an email address where I can email you some information.

Thanks!

Hello,
I am looking for my grandfather's family who had this disease. My grandfather was George Lalumiere and I was told he (or his parents) were from Quebec. I cannot find anything else about him or this family. He gave the disease to 2 out of 4 of his children, one of which was my father. All people in my family are deceased so I can't ask any questions.
You indicated you know people in Ontario that have this disease, can you ask them if they knew of a George Lalumiere who ended up in Massachusetts in the early 1900's?
Sorry to bother you but I too have this disease and I am trying to find out when it began. I have another message board similar to this one but I thought I'd try to talk to you in case you know of someone.
Thanks
Michelle Lalumiere
