Spinocerebellar Ataxia (SCA1) is a rare, inherited genetic disease passed on to me by my father and to him by his father, Daniel Joseph Sweeney. I have learned that my grandfather's sister, Margaret (Maggie) Graham nee Sweeney also passed the disorder on to her descendants. I am trying to determine which of Daniel Joseph Sweeney's parents, Daniel Sweeney or Catherine (Kitty) O'Neil, passed the disease to him and his sister.
I would like to communicate with descendants of Daniel Joseph Sweeney, Daniel Sweeney, Catherine (Kitty) O'Neil or their siblings to determine if ataxia has shown up in their families.
Daniel Joseph Sweeney's siblings are Mary, John, Thomas, James, Ellen, Margaret and Alexander. Catherine (Kitty) O'Neil's siblings are Johanna Rosenfield, Mary, Bridget, Maggie, John and Thomas. Daniel Sweeney's siblings are Bridget, Mary Ann, Ellen, Thomas, Margaret and Sarah.
