To scwbcm: Yes my family has suffered with essential tremors and Parkinson's tremors. Both of my parents were alcoholics but I do not know about the rest of the Arnold/Stenton line or the Daines/Rooke line. I myself am considered a tea totaller as you put it with one or two glasses of wine per year. I have been diagnosed with both tremors and take (Requip) which does help to some degree. Restless Legs Syndrome is quite common and I know several people who have it and have been told it is hormonal who knows? I also have psoriasis whole body, diabetes, bad back from 1975 injury. My mother was a vegetarian for abt. 10 yrs. but has returned to eating meat as she was anaemic. My brother has a nerve disease affecting his legs, too.
