I have traced Huntington's (Chorea) Disease back to my great-great grandfather, William Price. William was born Jul 1825 in Rockingham Co., VA to Edmund and Mary Price.

I have concluded that William was the carrier as he was married twice and have found children from both marriages had HD.

William's first wife was Susan Pickrel. They had the following children:
Adaline
William P. m. Mary Louisa Sims
Mary Ellen m. Sylvester Maze
Stephen G. m. Emmazetta George
James M. m. Mary Catherine Williams
Thomas S. m. Hannah Maze

I have confirmed HD in the children of James and Thomas (my great grandfather)

William's second wife was Elizabeth Jane Murray. Their children were:
Elizabeth Jane m. Charles Monroe Sims
Henry Coleman m. Delilah Ellen Snyder
Sarah C m. John Wesley Sims
Susan L. m. Samuel Hill
Anna m. George W. Merrill

The granddaughter of Henry Coleman confirms he had HD.

Most of these families resided in West Virginia with a few desendants finding their way to Washington and Idaho.

I am very interested in finding other descendants of these families and perhaps we can trace our roots further.
