Two efforts related to this one family:
1. I am looking for genealogical information on Captain William Tinker who sailed the Camel during the exodus from NE of loyalist. A lot of information has been collected on two of his alleged sons - however, he is extremely ellusive. I do believe at one time I came across a reference that provided an indication as to where he settled following the war, but have not been able to "relocate" that. Any help there would be appreciated.
2. In addition, one of his sons swore out the following petition in 1808 - but did not mention Captain Tinker:
Land Petition of David Tinker - 1808
To the Honorable Martin Hunter, Esq. & President etc. etc. in Council
The Memorial of David Tinker humbly [---]
That your Memorialists has been settled on Campo Bello, on a lease under the Greanters, upwards of Twelve Years. That his wife is the Daughter of a Soldier, who served in the 74th Regiment in America, and has not received any lands from Government. That your Memorialist begun to settle lands on Grand Manon; but was prevented by Claimers, at that time. That he has five children, born in Charlotte County; and prays an Order of Livery (Survey) for such a portion of lands on the Northern Head on Grand Manon, or Pit Brack; as shall be assigned to him and his family.

Again, this is believed to be a son of Captain Tinker, but uncertain. Also, would anyone know where there might be a listing of the descendants of the 74th Highlanders???
