I am trying to find this person as she is my mother's cousin - my mother is Barbara Joan PERRY b. 1929. Kathleen ORMROD was born in Barton upon Irwell, Lancs and married in 1962. She married Frank COWLEY who I think was a teacher and may have moved to Southampton/Portsmouth shortly afterwards. Her father was Ellis ORMROD who died in 1955. Her mother would have been Edna PERRY d 1983 and was the older sibling of my grandfather Thomas Rothwell PERRY b 1900. I have only recently found out that my Grandfather had two elder sisters - EDNA and NORA. If ANY of this sounds familiar please contact me.

You could look on 192.com But that will give you quite a few but one lives in Burnley so you could get lucky.
Do you know anything about his other children?
http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl
will allow you to search for their births if you have anything to identify them with. And if you did find a birth searching for them might be easier, but also it might not!
Search the electoral registers is a possibility.
But you could be in for a long search.

Good luck.

I think this is her surname as the scribble is not all that clear.
She would be my 2nd cousin and have found someone in Hove, East Sussex in 19XX. I was thinking has she moved. She has a sister called Dorothy and her mother came originally from Lanarkshire, Scotland. Any leads would be welcome.
I'm not sure if this is any help to you, but searching UK BMD indices I found the following:

Peter Cunningham Leslie married Elizabeth Reid 1941 Lanarkshire, Scotland.

Looking forward from 1941 I got found this:

Elizabeth Marion Leslie b. 1942 Lanarkshire.

There is also a marriage for Elizabeth Marion Leslie to an Edward Thomson 1963.

With regards to a sister there with 2 other births in same area for Leslie in the 5 years following:

Mellory Leslie in 1944
Dorothy Leslie in 1947

I know this is far from definitive information and I am making a lot of assumptions, but hopefully it may give you a few more options to search on.

Regards

Trevor

I've been informed by my mother that my father worked for a company called Conoco and he worked in Saudi Arabia up until 1985, at which point he came back to the Uk and lived in Frodsham. He mentioned working in Aberdeen. The last we heard, he'd gone to work in Nigeria and there is a possibility he moved onto China after this. Any help is appreciated.

I'm trying to find him or any relatives as he is my birth father. The only information I have is his birthday which was December 16th and that he was roughly ten years older than my mum which would have put him at a birth year of 1938. I don't know if he had any middle names and I don't know if he was actually born in A-U-L. In fact, the only other information I have is that he worked on an oil rig but I'm not sure where! I'm sorry I don't have any further information but thank you so much for your help so far!

I am trying to find information on my uncle John(Jackie) Mitchell.
John was born in Brooklyn, USA on 11th Jan 1931. He came back to Scotland with his parents in the late 1930's. The only information I have for him is that he served in the Royal Navy and my dad thinks that he served on the Arc Royal sometime in the 1950's. He had a sister Heather and a brother Louis. The last time my dad saw his brother was in the early 1960's at their mother's funeral.
I know this is not a lot of information but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance
Tracy

Hi

I'm trying to locate my sister Elizabeth Jeffries born 1930 in Willesden, or her children born in Willesden and Watford areas.

She married a Francis William Shepherd (he may have been known as Frank?)and had 5 children ( I think) 4 girls and a boy. The first 2 girls Maureen and Carole were born in Willesden, then the family moved to Rickmansworth c 1956, and the other 3 children David, Jancie and Tina were born there.

I'm not sure what address they lived at in the 1950/60s, but c1984 Elizabeth and Francis moved to 172 Highfield Way, Rickmansworth. Francis died in May 1999 and I'm not sure whether my sister is still alive.

Even if anyone has any information on any people who lived at 172 Highfield Way, I'd be grateful.

If anyone has any information about where the family lived in the 1950 - 1980s or even information on whether my sister is alive that would be great.I believe my sister may have moved from the Highfield Way address c 2006, perhaps into a nursing home?

Francis was a toolmaker, and is buried in Woodcock Hill Cemetery. Even any information on Francis family would be great.
