My wife and I enjoyed greatly the friendship of Mr.& Mrs. James Clissold who both taught English as a foreign language in Izmir Turkey in the early 1960s. We accompanied them to England in l963. Not much later, James and Patricia, his wife, were teaching ELS in Africa. A rift in the marriage developed into divorce, Patricia marrying another of the British teachers there. James eventually returned to Turkey and taught ELS in Istanbul. After he left, we lost contact. I know this is a rather pitiful amount of informatioon, but I hope it is enough to identify him.
