I knew him and and I was there. I would like to communicate with any children, I am not sure he had any and particulary his widow. Its been 40 years and I have waited too long.

There is (or was) a Mary Parker Brodrick (possibly his mother?) in Selma, CA, which was SPB's residence at enlistment, according to Internet sources. She was in her late 80s. I don't see any current contact info online.

Dear Sir,

I'm writing this email from The Netherlands, after searching The internet on informatica on Steven Parker Brodrick. I've visited Vietnam in early 2001, and went to the former site of one of the airforce bases. While stroling around the surrounding area I met a local villager who sold small Vietnam War remnants. I bought a name tag with All the details of S.P. Brodrick....
Since them I've searched the internet, but after some negatieve responses in the past indicating that it would probably be a fake I gave up and kept the tag in my wallet.
A few years have passed by and in 2017 I will be visiting the United States with my nephew. He is the son of my late brother (who passed away in 2001) and after discussing with him what our travel plans will be we decided on discovering whether the tag is a fake or if there is a slim chance it is actually genuine and we thus might be able to go out and bring it home to his relatives.
Reading your post and discovering you were actually there gave us a chill up the spine: it made us very interested in your story, but also enforced our dedication to find out if there is any honor to be done by us bringing this tag home.

We are hoping you'll take the effort to help us on our way. Thank you very much in advance...!

Kevin (the nephew) and Manfred (the uncle) Smit
