Hey uncle eddy it's Patrick (2nd oldest of the five boys) I also was trying to find information on here about karnig and seen your message. I hope we can find out one day where he went or if he had kids and so on... How have you been? The last time I seen you was at uncle Sams house when I was a little kid. My grandpop told me a while back he talked to you and you were doing good. We are all doing good on this end and I hope you will vist us again soon it's been too long. Well god bless you and I hope you get this message.

Your message is quite old, Denise, so you may already have the answers from relatives (I am not related), but in case not, possibly ordering these certificates - which seem like they may fit your inquiry - might give you some factual answers.

You didn't say when he was born but this possibly may be his death:
Name: Jim Frederick Goymer
Birth Date: 15 Oct 1934
Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1981
Age at Death: 46
Registration district: Coventry
Inferred County: West Midlands
Volume: 33
Page: 0105

If so, this would be the birth:
Name: Jim F Goymer
Mother's Maiden Surname: Kennell
Date of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec 1934
Registration district: Coventry
Inferred County: Warwickshire
Volume Number: 6d
Page Number: 1001

And if it is the right birth, then this may be his parents' marriage:
Marriages Jun 1931
Goymer Harold Kennell Coventry 6d	1543
Kennell May Goymer Coventry 6d	1543

It seems possible Harold may have been born in 1904 in Birkenhead, which means he would appear in the 1911 English census and allow you to trace the family back through the records. Possibly they may have been from Suffolk.

Would you mind if I shared your email with her and my uncle? I know my mother would be excited as well if she were here. When we lived in New York she kept close ties with the Liberian community.

Ok well I have been trying to get information on the family for years but nobody seems to know anything. I am the daughter of Callie's sister's (mother's side) daughter. Her name was Julia Moore. My name is actually Nicole Moore Cain. (I am married). I have two uncles that are still in Liberia they are twins. They are named Al and Julius. My mother passed away when I was younger, so I was raised by her brother, Arthur and he has a sister Artlaine that lives in California. She is very excited about this development as well. My email is nclj75@yahoo.combopefully we can fill in some gaps for each other because I really want to know my family and it's history.

It seems as if we have both found what we are looking for. The coincidences are simply too many! Did you know any of his sister Julia (Tootsie's) children?

He would of here in the UK in the 1980s, because I (Emanuel Fahngon) was born in 1986.

My mothers name is Irene Brady, she was left with myself at day's or weeks old (can't really remember) when my father emigrated again onto America.

Once in America he eventually settled down and setup a business in Minnesota.

So if anyone has any information on my Liberian and/or American side then please, please get in touch!.

Thank You.

p.s I have attached a photo of my dad's brother, that I have located on the Internet.

I realize this may be a long shot but are you related to Douglas Alexander Lind who married Johanna Plessis in the 1890s somewhere in SA? I know they had 2 daughters, Mabel and Eulalie, near Stutterheim but we lost tack of them after 1905. DA was originally from England -- not sure of Johanna.
Regards,
Kathleen

Zambia/Northern Rhodesia - Zeeman Family

Searching for information about my wife’s brothers. The family name was Zeeman and they lived in Northern Rhodesia (which is now named Zambia) in Africa. The children were named Yvonne Zeeman (my wife), Yolanda Zeeman (sister), Walter Zeeman, and Leslie Zeeman. The brothers Walter and Leslie were born in the 1950's which would make them in their 50's now.

The brothers were both adopted in the 1960's by a family surnamed French. Their adopted parents were Douglas French and Olive Avis French. Olive's maiden name was Olive Leahy or Olive Laye? The brothers were renamed Michael Walter French and Robert (Leslie?) French. Douglas French was associated with the Nkana mine at Kitwe, Zambia. We have heard that this family later moved to Australia but cannot confirm this.
Do you know what part of Liberia he was from? Or his brother's name, and the approximate time that picture was taken? Or how old he was? Or where on the Internet you found it?
Motyer Warren-Smith Family in South Africa

In the late 1950's my wife Sylvia MargaretGosnall [maiden name Newton] lost touch with part of her mother's family of Winter. Her Maternal Grandmother left the UK with her youngest son Kenneth leaving behind his sister Freda Marian and older Brother Harry James known as Hal. From photo's we have inherited when Hal died we know we are looking for connections with the Motyer family who in 1934 were located in East London South Africa Uncle Alf Auntie Ethel
Auntie B and Tarlie appear in one photo. In a 1932 photo we have a pictue of the MUINAAR's Dance Band Kenneth Winter {trumpet]Alex?{Guitar}Billy?{Violin}and Louis {On Piano}.Another Photo taken probable in the fiftys shows Auntie B, Bessie, with Reg and Doris Warren-Smith taken in the garden of Doris at Grahamstown .The final photo again in the 1950's shows Kenneth as a Grandfather, with we believe his daughter Tarlie her little boy and a baby of about 18 months sitting on her knee along with their cat. If you can help in finding these family member please contact me at

Dear Alyssa,
I got your name from ancestry.com. My name is Edward Kassabian and i was born and raised in Philadelphia PA. My father and mother came from TURKEY 1920 to USA. I remember my father was telling that when he went, into exile from Diyarbakir in Turkey that his older brother (Karnig Kassabian) got lost, he had tears in his eyes. With him was his uncle and younger brother Souren. They managed to get to the Syrian border and finally to the US.

Their sister virgin made it to Iraq where she married Dikran and we all re-united in Philadelphia in 1950s. but their brother Karnig got lost and for years , we looked for him. Please let me know if you learn anything more about Karnig Kassabian

God Bless you,

Edward Kassabian
