Does anyone know where I can begin to search for this? A board, a website?

During my genealogy research, I found my father's uncle had a daughter while in the military in England during the war in the 1940's. He's died a a few years back. He was Puerto Rican, but lived in NY after the war.

The mother of the girl sent pictures and letters to the Grandmother, Bernarda Guzman, but family lost touch.

The girl may have been born around 1943 and 1944.

All relatives are dead, except for one, who at the moment suffers from alzheimers.

It would be benaficial to know where in England the person was stationed at the time!! you could probably find out what unit they where in , then you could look up from that town and see if there where any records of a birth? if you want to get in touch with me i might be able to help!! there should be a place where you can obtain your uncles war records, you should find a birth certificate of this child in that as he may have paid some sort of child mantanice to the childs mother.

Do you know the name of the child's mother?
