Marshall Benton Taylor is my g.g. grandfather & he was known as 'The Red Fox" because his hair and beard were 'flaming red.'

I have a copy of the the video of the 2nd hanging of Red Fox as well as a tape. A cousin who used to work at the Appalshop sent it to me. I have been told the 'Trail of the Lonesome Pine is about him. He was able to back track his own footsteps so it appeared he went only one way. Unfortunately, the only person that I know of that had any diredt knowledge of him, via his father, has since passed over. I have had several requests for info and I have hit a snag. However, through the Virgina State Parks, I have obtained a picture of the cabin of Red Fox & Rick Rock (?) or Rick T Rock (?) near Jenkinks, KY. Would love to hear from others with information to share.
Gary, sorry to hear about your dad.

Marshall Benton Taylor was my great, great grandfather.
His daughter Rebecca was my great grandmother.Rebecca's daughter Flora was my grandmother. I am looking for contacts that might have different information than I do.
I have information that my mother left to me regarding her family. She had written down information in a tablet on some of the details, even down to their personalities as she saw them. Looking forward to exchanging info with anyone who is interested.
