Please provide the name and approx date of death; NYC records can be checked. Death certificates usually include
the name of the burial cemetery on the bottom left. Families often reclaimed their kin and buried them in family plots off the island.

BTW, Ellis Island, the port of Immigration into NYC harbor beginning in 1898, has nothing to do with burials on Blackwells aka Welefare aka Roosevelt Island.
