Naturalization Index Cards from 1868 in Yuba County Caifornia for my Welsh ancestors

Hi,

I sent off for naturalization records for some of my Welsh Immigrant ancestors. I found that two of them obtained their citizenship in the same courthouse on the same date in Marysville, Yuba, CA using the California Voter Registrations. I sent off for those records at the courthouse and they couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. They did however send me index cards.

THey read David Williams, state of CA, County Court Marysville CA, Cert no(or Vol. and page): Minutes - Vol. 5 page 67, Birth England, Allegiance: Great Britain, date 31 Oct 1868
the other reads
J.G. Jenkins state of CA, County Court Marysville CA, Cert no(or Vol. and page): Minutes - Vol. 3 page 68, Birth England, Allegiance: Great Britain, date 31 Oct 1868

I am not sure what book they are referring to as Minutes Volume 3 page 68. I am guessing this is for Yuba County court but they couldn't find the records. I would appreciate any good advice.

Hi,

I would contact the California State Archives. On their website it reads "Our collections contain microfilmed copies and original records from 28 of California's counties including probate, deeds, and naturalization records."
Hopefully that includes Yuba County! Or, maybe they know what the County Court should be looking for and direct them to the source.
