Lepavsky/Soboroff Emmigration 1880-1900

Lepavsky/Soboroff Emmigration 1880-1900

Classification: Query
Surnames: Fisher, Lepavsky, Soboroff
I am looking for information about the Fisher/Lepavsky/Lee family from the Chicago area. The family emigrated from Russia in the late 1880’s-1890’s. I am looking for information on the boat they arrived in the United States on. Rumors in the family state that the boat departed from Liverpool, but I do not have any idea if that is correct. They are also connected/related to the Soboroff family and it is believed they emigrated with members of that family. Thank you in advance for any help or leads. You can reach me through Ancestry or by email at coupons@x5b.com

Thank you,

Rachael

Someplace in US record you need to find a precise place of birth. As you know, Russia of old was a large empire and depending on the place of birth your research might be in Russia, Belarus, Poland, Lithuania or Ukraine.

Yes, I'm aware that your ancestor arrived before 1892 but NY EI is the first place I go looking for surnames and locations.
