hey im a relative of the soares family. i was wondering, cause my dad tells me, that the soares family ruled Ponta delegda. i believe i spelled it alright. well it sounds like this guy was the one son who left and said i want to be a sailor, and gave up his rights to rule. thats all i know. i havent read the family book, just had my dad tell me this when he handed it to me.
