I decided to look up your ancestor in the book The Palatine Families of New York, because I was just yesterday researching my Schram family in the book. I never had any thought there would be a connection between our families. However when I checked the index, I found reference to Elizabetha Vogel on page 514. When I opened the page I found Johannes Lamet's story (Hunters list 427). He is not in the index. However also on the page were notations I had previosuly made regarding Johannes' son Johnnes (Jr.) family. It seems two of his children married into the Zitzer family, from which I descend. Though I can't tie to the Zitzer's reference, I thought the coincidence was remarkable. The book shows Jr's son Georg married Elizabeth Zitzer and his sister Anna Maria married Martin Zitzer.
