Hi, Al,
I'm an O'Brien, too. How kind your offer is! I'm looking for Mary and John Keane, with their two sons Lawrence (b. 1840) and Patrick (b. 1845) who arrived in NY. The family was in the 1855 NY Census, at which time they had lived in NY for four years. I've been unable to find their date of arrival, but it could be no later than 1851. My great grandfather John Joseph Francis Keane was born in NY in 1854 and appears on that Census. Many thanks for your help,
-Erin

Hi,

I've been trying to establish a link between Joseph Hunter, b. 30 Mar. 1819 in Lisburn, No. Ireland. I show a Joseph Hunter, about the same age, who arrived on his own in New York in 1849. I think he enlisted in the Infantry and ended up at Ft. Gates, TX.

Thanks,
Al Hunter
