My name is Ashley Moore and my 2nd great-grandfather was a stow-away on a ship that docked in Texas when he was only 12 years old.

Through ancesrty.com I have found many helpful clues to peice my family’s history together. The most valuable piece of information I am interested in, I am still in search of, and I am hoping that someone can help me out.
Older generations have told that my family in Germany were candy makers. Before I found out this piece of information, I had started my own business of making homemade candy and cakes. I would love to find out more to this bit of information I have to see if there is any truth to this. How neat would it be to find out that my ancestors made a living the same way I am now and didn’t know about it before? I know this may be asking alot, but if you could help in any way, it would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you SO very much!
