I am in need of a look up in Hanns Egon Freund's book "Emigration records from the German Eifel region, 1834-1911" (Published by the MCIGS in 1991.) I am looking for the following Meurer family from Adenau/Kirmutscheid:

Joannis Meurer (b. 1800), wife Anna Maria [Bast] (b. 1805), children: Peter (b. 1837), Matthais (b. 1839), and Elizabeth (b. 1843).

Other children: Anna Gertrude (b. 1832), Anna Catherine (b. 1833), and Anna (b. 1841). I am uncertain if these died or immigrated and married before the family went to Warren, Macomb Co., Michigan by 1857.

Census records give the immigration year as 1848, but I need confirmation. I have been unable to locate this family in the 1850 US census.
