Paula,
Email problems - they aren't coming in. Found your reply on Ancestry though.
There was an Annie Stephens [wrong spelling, I know!] departed London for Wellington on the NIWARU on 26 Feb 1907. She was aged 45, born 1862. Married.
Probably not her.
I couldn't find her on the 1911 Scottish census, so I tried the Australian Electoral Rolls.
I doubt if this is her along with other Stevens folk,
all living at:
Woodville, Pahiatu, Manawatu-Wanganui in 1905-6
Ann Stevens Married
William Stevens Settler
Mary Ann Stevens Married
Charles Robertson Stevens Labourer.
Someone mentioned to me that you only get onto the Electoral Rolls once you are 20 years old, so keep that in mind. .....Ann, Charles & William are at the same address in 1911, and others are there as well, at Woodville...Jemima, Minnie Elizabeth, and William Archibald Stevens, a butcher.
They might not all be related to each other, and I don't imagine any of them are your ancestors. ...If only the Electoral Rolls gave their ages - what a differenvce that would make!!!
