My surname is Brady and I have been doing family research for years, however, I have had some issues due to a total lack of information regarding the (parents or siblings) of my great-great grandfather, Thomas Joseph Brady (1880-1948). He was born in NYC, USA, fought in the American-Philippine war, lived in Brooklyn, was a cop, his wife was Isabella (Conway) [1883-1946], who was born in Scotland or Northern Ireland (haven't found her parents either in spite of much research). They had 5 sons including my great-grandfather Harold.
In censuses which asked, Thomas's parents are listed as having been born in Ireland so I can only assume they were immigrants. However I can not find an 1890 record of Thomas (at which point he would've been 10 years old) as from what I am aware of there was a fire which destroyed many records of that year.
His address prior to the Spanish-American war was 9 Duane Street which was a Newsboy's Home (made famous from the movie/musical Newsies)
Info about 9 Duane St:

Any advice, suggestions, etc. would be great.
If anyone is of relation to him or his descendants I would also be more than happy to collaborate.
