Beatrice Maude Williams from England to Nova Scotia as a young girl

I'm trying to find information about my great grandma, Beatrice Maud. She used to tell my mother that as a young girl (maybe 12 or 13?) she was sent away from England by parents who were older and didn't want to care for her. She used to reference having an older sister but there could be additional siblings. She said she ended up in Nova Scotia where she met my great grandpa, William Newton Crowe (son of Everett, from Hants, Nova Scotia) while she was working in a boarding home for men that he lived in. The marriage record I have found says they were married in Brantford, Ontario. They moved to Detroit in 1922 where they ended up and raised 5 kids. Any information about when she arrived from England or who her relatives were would be extremely helpful. This is the one line of my family I can't seem to find much information on.

Hi

It is not an uncommon name if you check out the births on FreeBMD.

Can you give us some idea when she was born please? And also the names of her children as that can sometimes give a clue as to parents' names

Fiona

Thanks for the feedback.

A bit more information...after her first husband William passed away, Beatrice married Henry Sudekum (not sure the year). Additionally her children with William were named, Clarence, Helen, Mary Ann, Jean (who died as an infant) and Dolores.
