SS Karamania manifest 29 Nov 1890

I'm trying to find the passenger manifest record for my gg grandfather Gerardo Sculco. I was told he arrived in NY on the SS Karamania on 29 Nov 1890. I can't find these records on Ancestry and haven't had any luck at the Ellis Island website. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I'd like to see who he came over with and who he was going to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mike

Thanks Tim. I guess they didn't put very much info on the manifests back then. Were you able to search just by the boat name on ancestry? You got that record pretty easily.

Hi Mike
You can do a search by the year, month or specific date. If we did not have the date but the month and the name of the ship, you could do a search for the YEAR - 1890 MONTH - Nov and only the dates that ships arrived at The Port of New York will be displayed. Click on a date and all the ships that arrived that day will be displayed, click on the ships name and it will take you to the first page of the manifest.

Thank you very much. I had actually put a call in to ancestry asking how to search by boat and date and they said you have to use the person's name. Thanks for this information. Much better answer.
