I found on a death certificate that my ggg grandfather Josef Startz was born in Bohemia. He was born Jan 1839 and died Feb 3, 1919 in Fayette Texas. I have found his wife Anna Bergmann on records as a servant coming in to Galveston but have no been able to find him. He reported coming to America in 1850.
So my question is where can i find Volume 1. I believe if he is in there it would be in that time frame. I do not have information about his parents other that they were also born in the same place.
