Louis Christian Jensen b 1868 Denmark, lost at sea? Abt 1911

Classification: Query
Surnames: Jensen
I am trying to find what happened to Louis Christian Jensen. He was born in Denmark about 1868 and came over to the Tynemouth area where he worked as a seaman. He married Sarah Eleanor Jackson in South Shields district on 6 May 1896. His father is given as Soren Jensen on the marriage certificate. They had a family and moved across to the Wallsend area, he then went back to sea and was apparently 'lost overboard' around 1910/1911
I can find no record of his death on any mariner type sites or grave records.
His wife has changed the family name to the English version, Johnson, by the 1911 census and they are living at 23 Hunter St, Wallsend.
Their final child George Jensen was born around 20 June 1911 and Louis is father in his birth certificate so he mayst have been around until at least 9 months prior to that date.
If anyone can help me find out what happened to him I would be most greatful.
