Hi All-

I am looking for relatives of Stephan Pokrivcak who came to America in 1907. He was married to Maria Dicz in Alpha, Warren, NJ in July 1908. His father was Joannes Pokrivcsak(F:Daniel Pokrivcsak M:Maria Szikora) born1837 and mother was Catharina Dzedzics-Zolnirtsky (F:Blasius Dzedzicz M:Eva Dzedzicz Zsolrnitsik) born 1843. Stephan was born in 1881 in Hranicne or Graniszto.

The witnesses at the wedding were a Wavrek Sikora and Joseph & Matrona Stasak. Matrona was my Great Grandmother's older sister born in Jarabina in 1883 and died in Washington State in 1913. Is buried under the name of Maria Stasak.

He was stated in the manifest in October 1907 as coming to see his brother Voytek(Adalbertus) who was born in 1884 in Martins Creek. Peter Pokrivcak who is his cousin came over on the voyage as well and was listed as coming to see his cousing Janos. I have had no luck in finding anything on Adalbertus other than his immigration record. I am curious if he went by another name and had children in the US. Other siblings of Stephan were Mathias born 1866, Maria born 1869, and Michal born 1876.

It is listed that Stephan left behind a wife Katerina in Hranicne. I cannot find a marriage record for them as she must have been from another town. I am curious if they had any children together.

Thank you!
