I am looking for information on my Great Grandmother as well as my Great Grandfather.

Anna Mathilda Svenson
born March 2, 1855 I believe in Linde, Sweden
Died October 24, 1938 Meridian, MS
I know that she was in Passaic, NJ between 1887-1889
from her family Bible I have parents as
Father Sven Joanson
Mother Fru Joanson
two sisters I believe might be Charlotte Peterson & Wilhelmina who is the mother of her nephew - Henning Anderson
She married Pehr Adolf Carlson on November 10, 1890 in New Orleans, LA

Pehr Adolf Carlson was born March 19, 1858 in Sagen, Nashulta, Sweden {the date is right, I am not sure on the place}
Died on Oct 20, 1941 in Washington DC or Maryland area, buried in Stonewall, MS {this info is right}

Any info on place of birth or immigration, whatever would be greatly appreciated. I have been working on this for a long time and not getting anywhere.

In the future, try a FAR more active board. I vaguely remembered this board existed but I am too busy on active boards to pay attention to it regularly. There are probably many people able to help who don't even know about this board.

This following board is very active. You won't have to wait a month or more to get help there.

I found the birth of your Per Adolf in Sågen (Note the spelling!), a farm in Näshulta parish (Note the spelling!) in Södermanland county.

This link tells several ways to make the extra Swedish letters which come at the end of their alphabet.

Anna Mathilda Svensdotter was not born in Linde parish. I did find a possibility for Anna Mathilda born 2 (not 3) March 1855 in Lindesberg parish. Her father was Sven Johansson and her mother was Stina Greta Pettersson. (The given name of Fru which you had for the mother is not a given name. Fru means Mrs.)

Maybe she is yours.

Arkiv Digital doesn't yet have the household examination books completely finished being scanned and the one I needed is not there. I did find that book on Genline.This is only a slice in time, of course.
