I am researching the Havlin name and would be interested in sharing and comparing.

My ancestor, John Haviland emigrated in the 1850s to Northern New York and then settled in Michigan about 1860. He was said to be from the Londonderry area. My research has found most Havlins to be from the Moville area, but I have not been able to connect him to any of the families there.I have information on siblings who also immigrated to the U.S.

I am hoping to visit Ireland later this year, and would like to have an idea of where to begin my search for this family.
